I so miss having part of it, and then only, when it comes to my venue.
I so miss that someone could, do everything that I do, and does not, at every venue that you play!
There should be someone THERE at every one, who feels as I do, that
there is portrayed on stage and above it, something that I hold dear
to my heart, and not the obvious of the, "Testosterone,"
that courses through my veins,
That there has never been a way to observe such light, such powerful
performance, as you folks do each and every day, on ANY stage, and
bring into fold, the same hearts who feel that way, and include those
who never did before.
I so miss you folks,
I so miss your stage.
I so miss to be a part,
even as small as what sound would ever represent to all those who
spectate, a part of something larger, that what I could ever do by
myself.
I so miss doing your show,
even though only at the key club,
so many times,
I wish I could be there when you go
to Madison Square Gardens,
for Cirque has not got what you do.
They are now a money machine,
YOU are PERFORMANCE,
and always have been
through my eyes.
So miss you,
love,
in the right way,
from behind the stage,

Next Show in LA?
Hello,
This band did things to me that no other wom..I mean...band has ever
done. Powder makes the Frankenband I pieced together in my mind
containing parts of The Flaming Lips, Metallica, No Doubt, and Lords of
Acid look like toddlers playing in a fucking sandbox.
When are they playing next in LA?
Cheers,
Brad Sorensen
I just wanted to write to you guys and tell you how awesome you all are. Here is a bit of my background. I was a night club promoter for about 6 years. My venue was a little over 30,000 square feet with a capacity of 2900 people. I have done a few decent sized shows with bands like The color Red, Sprung Monkey, Alien ant Farm "before dream works", The almighty grind, Los Infernos, just to name a few. I even mixed a live band and a freestyle motocross competition for the ultimate show at a club. My point in all this, is out of all of the shows I have done or even been to I have never been as impressed with a band as I was with you guys. I found Powder by total accident a few months back. I went to see The Almighty Grind at the EL Ray and got there early enough to catch your entire show. I am very opinionated as far as my taste in music style and probably the most critical ass hole you have ever met. When Ninette with her head lights and the Alien came out on stage all I could think was "What the FU*# is this?" I have to tell you it didn't take long for me to become a devoted Powder fan. You have the best show I have ever seen. After the EL Ray show I spoke with Phill X for a brief moment and he was surprisingly nice for a rock star. When ever you are in town you can count on me being there. Again I just happened to check your web site two days before the Key club and saw that you were performing so I got all of my buddies together and took them to the show. Now they too are die hard fans. I live in Newport Beach and will gladly drive to LA or where ever to see you. POWDER IS GOING TO BE HUGE! Look out Beatles Powder is coming through. You guys are awesome! Keep it up.
Kevin Matty
I love your style of fun music that hits some thing in your brain that
makes
you just love it. I saw you guys at the download festival and I am kicking
myslef that I didn't get the chance to see you again while you were in the
uk.
You bring something to a live set that so many bads lack, the cool out fits
the hair the sound every thing just comes together to make it all see great.
I managed to get some of the things that wewre being thrown at thje download festival I just love the humour behind the things that got thrown out. I am
glad to say that I managed to grap out of the air on the cool pictures of Ninette.
I have a strong musical backgroound and just love every aspect of your music.
Hope you get back to the uk soon

Powder at Halsted Market Days - Chicago
YOU ROCK is the understatement of the century!
The theatricality of the show combined with the awesome sound was a match made in a gay rock heaven! (You did know this was a primarily gay event!) WE LOVED YOU! Ninette is the stuff that drag queens have dreams about and Phil-X and that tounge! He better keep that in check next year or some leather men may make him show them what that tounge is really for! (just kidding) The whole band rocked and to be honest, you were a million times better than “Flop of Seagulls”! I haven’t stopped listening to your CD since I brought it home! The energy is awesome! Thanks for making my “market days” the best!
A new powder FAN!
Todd J Ruppenthal
Hey Ninette,
I'm i huge fan and i wanted to say just how your mix of amazingly addictive vocals and they guys riffs has brought a new lease of life to the UK music scene. I'm comming to see you guys on the 10th of March and i can't wait. I was wondering if you were going to be hanging around in London after the gig or will you be jetting straight off as i would love to meet you guys as your attitude of being yourself and not letting people dictate who you are has really had an effect on me. Also i was wondering how you were feeling about your first gig in the UK and have you got any plans for the UK audience. You treat your fans with a real respect and it is hard ot find that in todays music i admire and respect both you and your music and hope that you get everything you want in the UK we are right behind you!
A huge thank you,
Mark Whistler

Hi Jenny,
I'm assuming you're the Jenny I met outside the Key Club on Saturday, and I
wanted to thank you for the CD, which I'm playing the crap out of. I also
wanted to say HOLY CRAP! This was my first Powder show and it was fucking
phenomenal! The brilliant theatricality of it along with the amazing
musicianship is a combination you just don't see anymore, and I was
seriously impressed. Since you don't seem to have plans to make it to San
Diego anytime soon, count me in for the El Rey on the 20th.
Please pass along to the band the fact that they won over at least one new
fan this weekend! Thanks again for the CD, and it was great meeting you. I
hope to see you at the El Rey, and I hope things go well for you in the UK.
You guys should knock them on their little British asses!
Kristin
Hey Ninette! I just wanted to say that you are so awesome! I've been a fan of Powder for about 5 months now, and I
can't get enough of you guys! I never get to see any of your shows since I live really far, but I can't wait to get
your cd. I'm only 16, but I know that I'm definitly going to try and see you guys live. You all seem like you love
what you do, and you do a GREAT job on stage, and we all love your amazing outfits. I wish that everyone knew about
your voice and your great stage presence. I really hope that one day I can meet you all, and definitly have a chat
about your music. I've been playing drums since I was 9, and music is such a big part of my life. The little girl
that I babysit for loves listening to Up Here, and she dresses up as you all the time. She's only 7, and it is
amazing how she knows all of the words! You guys rock, and I hope one day I can be as great as you all. You've
been such an inspiration to me, and I wish you all the best in the years to come!
Hugs,
Ashley
It was Allhallows's Eve, 2003; the El Rey Theater was SRO. With bated
breath-- the packed house with anticipation clearly showing on their
faces--braced themselves for the "Powder Train" as they rolled through with
a dynamic force. The theater itself has a history, but after witnessing yet
another stellar performance, the establishment may have to change its name
to the "El Reina Theater," in honor of Ninette!
Normally (for lack of a better term) I'd get as close to the front as
possible, but me and my friends decided to stand behind the mixer, where
the intensity of the show was felt tenfold. My friends were "Powder virgins,"
so to speak, but that quickly changed. They all had the urge to smoke after
being sexed up the right way; they said they'd be back for more.
It's quite easy to go on and on about this "Diamond in the rough" ensemble,
so I'll try to keep my benevolent comments to a minimum.
Phil's guitar work shreds, rips, and screams with an unbridled passion,
perhaps the way it was intended to be played; it seems as though some things
were just meant to occur. As for the bass player and the new drummer; you guys are the glue holding
things together, and needful to say, you make it look easy.
It's hard not to be reminded of Freddie (RIP) while watching Ninette
control the stage the way she does, and the way she indirectly commands her
audience
to rise up in recognition--to her level of mesmerizing and captivating body
language.
Joey Ramone was watching from above last night when the crowd was "sedated"
by the encore performance, which included a few lics from "The Time Warp"
as well. It's always nice to have a few tricks up one's sleeve; Powder seems
to have an unlimited supply of those.
The lyrics of their music really hit home-- and brings attention to the
things in our lives that generally go unsaid amongst the main streamers:
about how we're all, in one way or another, contradicting hypocrites, but I
guess for those people--ignorance is bliss!
I wish you continued success in the future and as sure as the sea is blue;
I'll see you on the 12th. I think I speak for all Powder fans when I say:
"WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!" I can't wait for your next release; then I'll have
mine...
The Silly Man
Hey guys,
your friend James in Chicago heights was right about you guys. You are
incredible! loved your
show at the Holbrook fest 2003. I'm hoping you can make it back for 2004.
I'm Red's brother-inlaw, The guy that cooks all those turkies. Just let Red
know when you want some Turkey and I'll have a couple ready for and the
crew.
You have many new fans in the Chicago area and with the kind of shows you
put on your fan base is sure to keep growing. Hope to see you soon.
Keith
"turkey dude"
unequivocally superior!
Not since the mid 70's (Queen) have I seen such a pow(d)erful stage
presence! I've seen the band perform 3 times over the last year and I
must say--they just keep getting better! My last opportunity was on Sept.
27 at the "Key Club" where they emanated a creative energy mixed with a
raw power that was, dare I say, thought to be forsaken in the music
world. They've recreated my awareness that "chemistry" can overpower the
shortsighted egos of major record labels, where Powder stands as a
separate entity.
Aside from the exceptional choreography, their sequenced and sampled
timing is as close to precision as it gets: an exemplary display of their
hard work--something they should be proud of.
Off of their soon(?) to be released second effort, they performed "Adore
Me" and "Take a Pill," and it seems as though they're reaching a fan base
of all ages insofar that bigger arenas are in their future. Powder can be
kept a secret no longer at least, that's the word on the street...
CHARLES R TATTERSFIELD
Hi Powder,
I saw your show at the Sound Arena in Hollywood on Friday night. It was the most entertaining music show I've seen in a long time. It was great to see the band in a close, intimate setting like that.
I hope many good things happen in your future. Your band is really doing it!!!
See ya,
Chris G

Powder seriously blew me away with the short set at SF Pride! I rarely travel for a band, but I'm making the trip down for the El Rey show. Any advanced tickets available? I don't want to make the trip and get stuck standing outside.
Many thanks for the MUCH needed "kick in the ass" to the music scene. I see great things for Powder...and I am rarely wrong.
Cheers,
-Steve Barton
Dear Ninette i have been follwing the band vary closely lately and i must
give you credit for originality. In the last few years i have turned my life
into music and learned all a 20yr old can.I hope. But i asure you that your
going places. If the media doesnt take you places then the fans will. From
what ive read and seen, your live performances alone are enough to take the
four of you to the top. All that and you are one of the sexiest women i have
ever seen. There are alot of things to get you places in this
buisness........and you have every one of them. Good luck even if its not
needed.
Yours truley James

PS LOVE IT JUST LOVE IT ALL!!!!!!!1
Just wanted to say thanks for supporting online music, and you got a sale from it.
Title says it all. I found a Powder track on the Cleopatra Records Limp Bizkit
cover compilation on eMusic.com, was instantly hooked, checked out the full
song samples on your website (a classy touch) and then bought the CD (which
was very reasonbly priced).
I haven't bought a CD in a year and a half since I'm tired of paying for
overpriced RIAA garbage that I can't even preview online to ensure that I
won't regret the purchase. Since you guys were more friendly to online fans,
you made a sale with me. Congrads and good luck!

NEWS YEARS RULED
Thanks again Powder for another Fantastic show, and a highlite of my evening at the New Years show!! in Gothim HalI. I had never been there before so it was all a great experience, I was jumping around and having a blast. Nothing could bring me down except the end of the show!
After the HOB show I wanted to see the show again, and am so glad I did.
recently rented Josie and the Pussycats, why I wasn't sure, but after watching, it was hilarious, and had some great grooves. I then realized that Ninnette did the vocals, and I suddenly realized why I liked the tunes so much. Or was it the hidden messages in the movie?- This is the rgeatest movie ever-- Powder is the next Dujour ahhaha _ wy better and real! it's about time a band actually put on a show with some great tunes..
anyhow- Thanks again for a wonderfull time can't wait to see it again and again..
I did choke hard though- I had seen Powder in the shops before the show, and wanted to introduce myself and my friend from Japan also show my worship- well at least tell em' in person how I loved their show, the edge, and it's over all calibur- but-of course I didn't but oh well! It was Ninette, she is gorgeous, and one look got me shy, couldn't believe it! OH well!!
Rock ON!!!
hope to send some fan art I am working on- thought of a comic series which would be too great!!
PEACE and HAPPY NEW YEARS

Howdy!
I just wanted to let you guys know that I just received Sonic Machine. A
friend found you guys and recommended you to me. Through doing a little
research I was able to find your website and after reading a couple of
reviews and listen to a couple of clips we ordered the album. I am only
about halfway through it so far and I really dig it.
Keep it up and make it out to the east coast sometime. I would love to see you live but I don't get out west too often these days.

New Band
Hey Guys, I watch MMUSA from Chicago, IL and I love female fronted
bands.
I went to the website and saw your named listed and i clicked it and hear
your song and no one voted for you. I was the first person to vote. I
stayed up and when your video came on, i called my friends and now you
have 3 dedicated fans in chicago. I love the song and the video is way cool.
Any plans to come to Chicago, because i would love to see you guys.
Please keep in informed and add me to your mailing list.

I'm a musician from the Chicago area.................so yeah, I really do know
a good band when I hear it (I'd hope!). From the bio it sounds like you
guys have tallent pouring out of orifices you can't even talk about! Very
cool. I've been a Kiss fan since I was a little kid (70's) so I'm in to the
costumes and animation on stage. I checked out the How did I get up here video and
it really blew me away. Keep rockin'. I'll quit stalking you now.
Peace,
Chris
you rock!
Dear memebers of POWDER,
This is a letter to thank you all so much, for being so awesome!
You guys aer amazing and i hope to hear more of you all soon. I wish you
could tour nationally, or at least i could got o califonia, but sadly
niether is happening........yet. I would really enjoy seeing you live, i
believe that would be an experience to live for. I love the singlr "up
here", its all i have heard so far. I also want to say that you are
beautiful Ninette and I wish I could buy and/or wear your inventively
wonderful costumes/outfits! You look wonderful in them....I only wish I
could do an out fit like that justice. Speaking of justice, I adore you
video fot "up here" as well. You all look so good in it. I must admit I do
have a bit of a crush on J-Bo, especially when he rips off those cute, geeky
glasses, he looks hot! Anyway, I love your music and hope to acquire the CD
soon, both of Powder and J-Bo's CD. I love the eighties, even though i don't
remeber much of them.....I was born in '85...I'm only seventeen. I LOVE the
Sex/rock/electronica sounds of you all. So, I guess what I am trying to say
is that you have a fan in me!
Much love!!!

Hi Guys , So good to hear from you, Hope you all are having a great 2003
Hi Ninette, Hi powder. I want to appologise for missing your last few shows .
I`ve been so busy at work that I just couldn`t get away. The last time my cousin Kiki,
and myself saw powder preform was in Vegas at the Mgm Grand. Words alone cannot describe
how bad I feel for missing those shows and not being there with all of you, Believe it or
not you are like family to kiki and myself. In fact both of us love you all and miss you
terribly. I for one feel awefull for not being there for you, and for Powder. Again I must
send my most humble appologise to everyone and deepest regrets for letting powder down.
I promise the next time powder performs in the L.A., or Ventura, area both of us will attend.
That I can promise you. P.S. Just Wondering how everyone is doing, and hope that all of
your dreams come true. Why, Because I think that you deserve it. You are good people ,
real people, and personally I`ve never in my 37 yrs known such a sweet down to earth ,
easy to talk to and talented group of Indefiduals such as yourself. Powder Will always
be No#1 to me in my heart ,not because your cool or your music friggin ROCKS ,
(you are, and it does) but because you care, and it shows.
Take care and GODBLESS
Sincerely: C.R.P.
